Dev is the biggest superstar in Bengali film industry.Deepak Adhikari is the Real name of Dev.Dev born in the year 1982 at 'Mahisha' village in Paschim Medinipur of West Bengal and later Dev went to his parent's house in Bandra, Mumbai for higher studies.

He completed his school life from Purushottam High School of Bandra (Mumbai) and completed his Computer Engineering Diploma from Bharatiya Vidyapith of Pune. Since, Dev wanted to be an actor he did an acting course from Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Academy.

Dev started to observe Bollywood filmmaking in the set of 'Tarzaan The Wonder Car' of Abbas Mustan in Mumbai after completing his Acting Course in Mumbai. Dev return to Kolkata for making his career in Bengali Cinema and started playing the lead role in the movie 'Agnisapath' against Bengali Actress Rachana Banerjee.
