He from Howrah made his debut in the Bengali cinema with ‘Kantatar’ in 2005. He won the Best Supporting Actor Award by BFJA for both ‘Kantatar’ and ‘Refugee’. In 2011, he received ‘Best Actor in a Negative Role’ by Zee Bangla’s Gourab for his role in Anjan Dutt’s ‘Byomkesh Bakshi’.His negetive role in Bengali Movie Refugee won his position in bengali cinema.
